My Pageant of Hope windbreaker means so much to me. Pageant of Hope is a beauty pageant from ages 5-25. There is different age divisions each age group gets a queen. Its a pageant for girls/woman with any type of special needs & challenges, It is the most beautiful thing I have ever witness in my life. I saw some of the most beautiful little girls and woman work it on the run way with their wheel chairs. Not all where in wheel chairs. One girl took her first steps ever in her life before our eyes. It was so moving and so inspiring. Those girls and young woman are my heroes. And I may be in the pageant this coming year or not. Because I have a lot of hidden disabilities and a lot of health problems many people don’t know or cant see if they don’t know me well.
I think people need to get to know people before they judge cause you never know someones health mentally, physically ect. We all are beautiful no matter what are challenges are.
I learned that from my biggest hero my 12 year old niece who is in these pageants who is in a wheel chair Miss Camerynn Peterson. She inspires every day. blow you away with how smart she is. She may be in a wheelchair as well. But her inner and outer beauty will melt your heart. She is learning how to talk better. She is brilliant. It’s people like her mother my sister Ashley that keeps her as healthy as she can be and happy.
